Benki ya NMB imetunukiwa cheti cha kuwa ‘Superbrand’, na kuifanya kuwa benki pekee iliyopata hadhi hiyo nchini Tanzania mwaka huu.
Hadhi hiyo ya ‘Superbrands’ inatunukiwa chapa bora zaidi katika uwanja wao kufuatia mchakato mkali wa uteuzi na baraza la Superbrands na watumiaji wa bidhaa na huduma kutoka kote Afrika Mashariki.
Akizungumza wakati wa hafla ya kupokea cheti hicho iliyofanyika jijini Dar es Salaam jana, Mweka Hazina wa Benki ya NMB, Aziz Chacha alisema hadhi ya Superbrands ina maana kubwa kwa benki hiyo na kusisitiza kuwa cheti hicho ni chachu ya kuifanya benki yake kuwa chaguo kwa wateja wake.
“Hili lisingewezekana bila imani iliyopo kwa wateja wetu ambao wamekuwa bega kwa bega nasi kwa miaka hii yote. Kama benki, tunafurahi kwamba wateja wetu wameweza kuamini chapa yetu na kuifanya kuwa miongoni mwa chapa bora Afrika Mashariki,” alisema.
Alibainisha kuwa benki hiyo imejipanga kuendelea kuongeza thamani kwa wadau wake wote wakiwemo wanahisa, wateja na jamii ambako benki hiyo inafanya kazi.
Alizishukuru mamlaka zote za udhibiti zikiwemo Benki Kuu ya Tanzania (BoT), Soko la Hisa la Dar es Salaam (DSE) na Mamlaka ya Masoko ya Mitaji na Dhamana (CMSA) kwa kufanya kazi kwa karibu na benki hiyo na kusisitiza kuwa miongozo ya mamlaka hizo imesaidia kujenga misingi imara kwa benki yake.
Awali, Jawad Jaffer Mkurugenzi wa Mradi wa Superbrands na Mchapishaji alisema kufikia hadhi ya Superbrands huimarisha nafasi ya chapa, huongeza heshima na kuwahakikishia watumiaji na wasambazaji kwamba wananunua chapa bora zaidi .
“Hadhi ya Superbrand inazipa faida kubwa kwa wanaoipata, inaongeza heshima kwa kampuni dhidi ya washindani wake na inadhihiririsha kuwa mlaji wa mwisho anapata bidha bora kabisa,” alibainisha.
Jaffer alisema katika Awamu ya nane mwaka huu, kampuni yake imetoa hadi ya Superbrand kwa kampuni nne nyingine mwaka huu zikiwemo GSM, Kilimanjaro Drinking Water, Dar Ceramic na Shirika la Bima la NIC Insurance.
“Kupokea hadhi ya Superbrand ni jambo moja. Kuitunza ni jambo lingine. Nachukua wakati huu kukumbusha kampuni zote ambazo zimepokea hadhi hii leo kufanya juu chini ili kuhakikisha kwamba zinaidumisha,” alisisitiza.
Alisema kampuni zote tano zilizopokea hadhi ya Superbrand zitatunukiwa tuzo wakati wa sherehe zilizopangwa kufanyika mwaka kesho.

NMB BANK RECEIVES ‘SUPERBRAND’ STATUS

NMB Bank has been conferred with the ‘Superbrand’ status, making it the only bank to receive the honors in Tanzania’s banking industry this year.
Superbrands aims to identify and acknowledge the most outstanding brands which have established the finest reputation in their respective fields following strict selection process by the Superbrands council and consumers from across East Africa.
Speaking during the certificate award ceremony held in Dar es Salaam yesterday, the NMB Bank Treasurer Aziz Chacha said the Superbrands status means a lot to the bank and underlines the bank’s ambition of being a bank of choice.
“This would not have been possible without the support of our loyal customers who have been with us through all these years. As a bank, we are glad that our customers have been able to identify with us as a brand,” he said.
He noted that the bank is committed to creating a shared value for all its stakeholders including shareholders, customers and communities where the bank operates.
He thanked all the regulatory authorities including Bank of Tanzania (BoT), Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) and Capital Markets and Securities Authority (CMSA) for working closely with the bank over the years.
Earlier, Jawad Jaffer the Superbrands Project Director and Associate Publisher said attaining Superbrands status strengthens a brands position, adds prestige and reassures consumers and suppliers that they are buying the best brand in its category.
“A Superbrand offers consumers’ significant emotional and/or physical advantages over its competitors which consumers want, recognise, and are willing to pay a premium for,” he noted.
Jaffer said the Volume 8 of this year’s Super brands has also awarded other four local companies that Include GSM, Kilimanjaro Drinking Water, Dar Ceramic and NIC Insurance/.
“Receiving the Superbrand status is one thing. Maintaining it is another. I take this moment to remind all companies that have received this status today to work around the clock to ensure that they maintain it;” he stressed.
He said the all the five companies that received Superbrand status will be awarded during a gala night scheduled to take place next year.
